This is the story of my Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) car. Its been a long journey but now its time to let go of one of the cars. Vegetta #2 is complete, and Georgetown Univerisity has started the process of buying it for thier Outdoor Education program.


Here they are, both cars required a lot of work due to years of neglect (particularly the silver fox). The black one was converted to a two-tank WVO system in October 2004, then updated with a new improved system in April 2005. The silver one was converted in October 2005, its story is here.

These WVO systems didn't just fall into place, a lot of testing and measurement went into this system. I wanted to minimize risk of damage to the engine and keep the system as practical as possible. On the oil collection side, a good bit of effort went into perfecting this process as well. I will share my experiences here so that maybe someone else can save themselves some trouble.
